Watch Janet introduce the Certificate in Creative Mindful Education for Children
In this video, Janet shares the intention behind the Meditation Capsules Certificate Training and how the program supports adults to bring mindfulness to children in practical, creative and meaningful ways. You’ll get a feel for the course, the teaching approach and how these simple “capsule” practices can be woven into classrooms, homes and other child-centred settings.
Why this course is different
Children do not learn mindfulness by being taught adult practices in smaller packages.
They need imagination, play, movement, stories, metaphors, sensory experiences and practices that feel relevant to their world.
Janet’s approach is grounded in more than 20 years of teaching mindfulness and meditation directly to children. You will learn how to teach children mindfulness in the way they naturally learn: through a creative, child-centred and whole-hearted approach.
This course is also a recognised and registered training program with the Meditation Association of Australia.
Whole-child learning
Mind, heart and hands-on practices that help children learn through experience.
Connection and meaning
A warm approach that helps children connect with themselves, others and the world around them.
Child first
Flexible practices that meet the needs of different students, ages and settings.
Empowering
Children are supported to build agency, self-awareness and confidence from within.
Creative and imaginative
Stories, themes, metaphors and practices that make mindfulness meaningful.
Modular and adaptable
Use short “capsule” practices, extended activities or whole lesson plans.
